Our client, Refinery Manufacturing in Banten, is seeking an experienced candidate for the following position:
SENIOR UNDERGROUND GEOLOGIST
Job Description:
· Ensure the efficient planning and coordination of all geological activities to meet operational targets.
· Provide accurate delineation of the mineral resource, rigorous production/grade control and to locate additions to the ore reserve
· Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements and Company Safety, Health and Environmental standards and procedures.
· Supervise and be responsible for the day to day geological activities in and around the mining operations
· Keep geological model up to date as new geological data obtained;
· Keep all geological database in proper order;
· Assist with the development of plans, budgets, schedules and programs to ensure the section's objectives are met and sustained.
Requirements:
· Tertiary/degree qualification in Geology or equivalent.
· Madya Certification for operational supervision in an underground mine to National competency standards; desirable
· Minimum of 8-10 years experience in underground mine activities including practical work as ug geologist, and minimum 3 years in a similar role
· Strong computer literacy skills, with a working knowledge of mining software such as Surpac, Datamine or MicroMine.
· Previous exposure to Greenfields projects and the development of operational readiness capabilities for an underground mine would be an advantage
· Knowledge and understanding of Mines Regulations, OH&S and Duty of Care, High level of 4WD vehicle / driving ability with a current license, Hazard and Incident identification, reporting and remedy, Chemical hazard awareness, Fire fighting skills, and First aid.

Senior Project Exploration & Project Geologists
To conduct grass roots exploration work such as detail and regional geological mapping, BLEG/stream sediment sampling, data compilation and geological/structur al interpretation.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor of Science in geology or geological engineering, master degree is preferred.
Having 10 years working experience for Senior Exploration Geologist, and 6 years working experience for Project Geologist.
Have experience in exploration for low and high temperature epithermal Au-Ag systems and porphyry Cu-Au deposits.
Have experience in supervising diamond drilling, core logging and geophysical surveys.
Competent in use of Map-Info and/or Micro-mine software would be advantageous.
Strong leadership, ability to work in the remote locations with minimum supervision and able to communicate with indigenous people.
Training of junior geologists and field assistants
Report writing and informal presentation
Ability to communicate well in English both written and spoken.
